Flagship Service · Owner-Operator Dispatch

Dispatch built around your truck, not a fleet.

One dedicated dispatcher sources loads, negotiates rate, and handles paperwork — while you decide which loads to run. No forced dispatch, no long-term contract, flat 8% fee.

MC/DOT authority required · Any equipment type · First week free

Owner-Operator Application

EST. 2 MIN

A dispatcher calls you back within one business day.

The Owner-Operator Standard

Three things every plan protects.

01

One dedicated dispatcher

No call center, no rotating voice. The same person learns your lanes, your truck, and how you like to run.

02

A rate floor you set

You tell us the minimum rate per mile you'll run. Nothing gets offered to you below it.

03

No forced dispatch

Every load is a choice, not an assignment. Decline anytime — no penalty, no strike against you.

How We Find Freight

Not just a load board login.

Anyone can post you a DAT search. A dispatch service earns its fee by working relationships and rate data a solo owner-operator doesn't have time to build.

  1. Load board coverage

DAT, Truckstop, and niche boards checked multiple times daily for your lanes and equipment.

  2. Direct broker relationships

Repeat freight from brokers we've booked with before — often better rates than board-posted loads.

  3. Rate benchmarking

Every offer is checked against recent lane data before it's negotiated, not just accepted at face value.

  4. Deadhead-aware planning

Your dispatcher plans your next lane before you deliver the current one, to keep empty miles down.

Do You Qualify?

What you need to get started.

  • Active MC and DOT authority (new authority welcome — see our New Authority Setup)
  • Valid liability and cargo insurance
  • Truck that meets current DOT/FMCSA standards
  • Working ELD and ability to take check-in calls
Dedicated Dispatcher

You get one point of contact — not a queue.

Once onboarded, you're matched with a dispatcher who works your equipment type and preferred lanes. They learn your truck's specifics, your home-time needs, and your rate floor — so every load they bring you is already filtered to fit.

Reach your dispatcher directly by phone or text during business hours, with after-hours coverage for loads already in transit.

Owner-Operator FAQ

Before you apply.

Do I lose control of my truck if I use a dispatch service?

No. Trucker's Guide operates on a no-forced-dispatch basis: your dispatcher presents loads, and you decide whether to accept. You keep control of your schedule, your home time, and which freight you run.

What do I need to qualify as an owner-operator?

Active MC and DOT authority, valid liability and cargo insurance, and a truck that meets DOT standards. Brand-new authority? Apply through New Authority Dispatch Setup instead.

How is the dispatch fee calculated?

A flat 8% of the negotiated load rate, deducted after the load is booked. No setup fee, no software fee, no monthly minimum.

Will I have the same dispatcher every time?

Yes. You're assigned one dedicated dispatcher who learns your lanes, equipment, and preferences instead of rotating between different people.

Can I use my own factoring company?

Yes. Rate confirmations and paperwork are prepared in a format compatible with most factoring companies, and we can coordinate directly with your factor if needed.

How long does onboarding take?

Most owner-operators complete onboarding and receive their first load offer within one to three business days, depending on equipment type and lane availability.
